A few more

Sorry, but I've just discovered a much faster way to post pictures, so I'm testing it out. This has the potential to cut the time it takes me to blog in half! Very excited...

Hi Tamara and Kohji!!

congrats on becoming a family of 3. Kiyomi is absolutely beautiful! Seems like your voyage has been going well. Reading through your blog has brought me back to when Mary Elin and I were in China. What an amazing adventure.

We laughed at the picture of your dora chair for Kiyomi. We bought one for Meghan, but it seems that Teddy (our black and white cat) is getting more use of it!!!

Keep up the use of the purell. I've been keeping in touch with Heather and Steve, who had an illness free trip. They swear by our advice to lather in purell as much as possible. and, they were the only parents on the trip who didn't get sick.

Regarding the flight back to Canada, use cherrios for the pressure, during take off and landing (works like a charm). We were lucky - Meghan slept the majority of the flight back!

Things are going well back here. Mary Elin might be going to TBS, so I keep telling her that she will have won the triple crown (pco, fin and tbs). As for me, I'm in the heat of things with my new job at Technology Partnerships Canada (seems like forever since I worked on the Abo file).

Meghan is doing great. She reads books to me (actually, she memorizes them, and reads back the words), sings songs, asks us questions we don't know the answer to, etc. She is now in the "why" stage, and we are in the "because" stage. She has changed so much since we got back from China

Enjoy the rest of your trip. Our hilight was the Hutong tour. It was amazing, and we actually got to visit a family in their tiny home.

You guys take care, enjoy the rest of your trip, and hopefully we can get together once you are settled in back in Ottawa.

Didja notice how much Kiyomi's expression looks like her mom's in the first picture - especially noticable because the two of you are wearing floppy hats? (You should get her some sunglasses like yours!)

And I think the plane ride home will be fine - she just neede to settle in with you guys (not that it would be to hard to do that) in order to get comfortable. Best of luck!

Well, I think Jeff is right about the cheerios on the flight but our advice is to grab a little bottle of red wine. For Kiyomi or for you and Kohji...actually the lightweights that you both are, I would say you could split a mini bottle between the three of you and all be out for the entire trip!

Randomly...
--Italy will win on Sunday.
--I am concerned for your friends on this blog who write like Yoda (although it's brilliant stuff).
--Purell is always good but don't come close to your nose with your finger after using it as it does cause nostril membranes to leak...
--Kiyomi has that "I am trouble with a capitol T but I am going to make you feel like it was all your idea" look...good luck with that.

Love you all!
